    Vehicle Details

    2000 Toyota Crown Royal Saloon G – 2JZ-FSE 3.0L, RWD, Automatic

    How We Prepare Every Vehicle

Every vehicle we sell goes through the same preparation process before it is offered for sale. Here is what was done on this Crown:

    • Engine oil and filter replaced
    • Coolant replaced
    • Brake fluid replaced
    • Spark plugs replaced
    • New battery installed
    • All belts replaced
    • Air filter replaced
    • Transmission oil replaced
    • New rims and tires mounted

One honest note: there is a dent on the hood. It is cosmetic and reflected in the price. Everything mechanical works correctly. The car was driven and verified by our team before listing.

The Royal Saloon G is the top specification of the S170 Crown. The G trim adds the full rear-seat suite that the base Royal Saloon does not include: rear fridge, TEMS adaptive suspension, reclining rear seats, rear window shade, rear A/C, rear air purifier, and cruise control. These are not minor upgrades. They represent a meaningfully different ownership experience from a base Crown.

The engine is the 2JZ-FSE, Toyota’s direct injection 3.0L inline-six producing 217 HP. The D-4 direct injection system was advanced for its era and contributes to the engine’s efficiency and refinement at highway speeds. The 2JZ-FSE shares its fundamental architecture with the 2JZ-GTE. Different tune, same foundation.

The car is white over beige, 57,050 miles (91,796 km), and in good overall shape. There is a dent on the hood, which is cosmetic, does not affect any system on the car, and is accounted for in the price.

    Mileage: 57,050 miles (91,796 km).
Fuel economy: approximately 20 MPG city / 27 MPG highway / 23 MPG combined based on 2JZ-FSE real-world data.

    Interesting Facts

    • TEMS, Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension, adjusts shock absorber firmness in real time based on road conditions, vehicle speed, and driving inputs. It allows the Royal Saloon G to ride softly on smooth roads and firm up automatically on rough surfaces without any driver input.
    • The rear fridge in the Crown Royal Saloon G was a factory-fitted option aimed at buyers who frequently used their Crown for long-distance business travel. The unit keeps beverages cold and is integrated cleanly into the rear center console rather than added as an afterthought.
    • The 2JZ-FSE uses Toyota’s D-4 direct injection system, which injects fuel directly into the combustion chamber rather than the intake port. When it was introduced on the S170 Crown, it was among the most advanced gasoline injection systems in a production Japanese sedan.
    • The Crown Royal Saloon G served as the proving ground for Toyota luxury technology before it entered the Lexus LS lineup. Equipment that appeared in Lexus models was often validated in the Crown G first, giving Toyota a high-volume real-world test environment.
    • The Toyota Crown has never been officially sold in the United States since the 1960s. This example qualifies for legal import under the federal 25-year exemption rule.

    About Us

We’ve been working with Japanese vehicles for over 25 years. Long before opening our location in the United States, our team was importing and servicing these vehicles in Europe when many of them were still new.

Because of that experience, we know these platforms extremely well. Every model has its own weak points, and we inspect and address them before the vehicle is offered for sale.

All vehicles are serviced at our facility in Japan before shipping. Fluids, belts, filters, batteries, and common failure points are inspected and replaced when necessary.

Unlike many dealerships, we actually drive our vehicles. They don’t sit in a parking lot. Our trucks and cars are used regularly so we can verify reliability before they reach their new owner.

When you buy from us, you’re getting a vehicle that is fully prepared and ready to drive from day one.

JP-TRADE is our first location in the United States, supported by a team of more than 40 people across Europe, Japan, Korea, China, and the U.S.

If you made it this far, here is a little bonus for you.

Why does the top-spec Crown have a fridge in the back seat?

The Crown Royal Saloon G was built for a specific kind of Japanese buyer: the senior executive who was driven rather than driving, who spent long hours in the rear seat between meetings, and who expected the same standard of comfort in a car that they received in a boardroom. A rear fridge was the logical extension of that philosophy. Cold water, a chilled can, something to eat between appointments, all available without asking the driver to stop. It sounds like a small thing. For the buyer Toyota was targeting, it was a statement about the level of consideration that had gone into the car. Toyota understood their customer precisely, built exactly what they wanted, and sold it exclusively to them.
